In this study, the researcher discusses about the effectiveness of using audio recording toward the students? listening ability of the seventh grade students of MTs Hidayatul Islamiyah Plumpang in academic year 2015/2016.
The objectives of the research were: (1) to know the effectiveness of using audio recording in teaching listening at the seventh grade students of MTs Hidayatul Islamiyah Plumpang in the academic year 2015-2016; and (2) to know the students? responses of using audio recording in learning listening at the seventh grade students of MTs Hidayatul Islamiyah Plumpang in the academic year 2015-2016
The research was carried out at MTs Hidayatul Islamiyah Plumpang. The research design was pre-experimental research. The subjects of the research were the students at the seventh grade of MTs Hidayatul Islamiyah Plumpang. The data were obtained from test and questionnaire. In this research the researcher used quantitative method.
Based on the result of data analysis, the research findings are there is significant difference of using audio recording in teaching listening, it showed by the mean of test. The mean of pre-test is 56.2 and the mean of post-test is 70.1. and the result of questionnaire shows that the highest answer of questionnaire is good.
