THE USE OF STUDENT?S OWN DRAWINGIN IMPROVING DESCRIPTIVE WRITING ABILITY OF THE SEVENTH GRADERS AT SMP NEGERI 5 TUBAN

Abstract
This research aims to find out (1) How does own drawing media improve the students ability in writing descriptive text at SMP Negeri 5 Tuban (2) What are the students? responses in learning descriptive text by using own drawing media at SMP Negeri 5 Tuban.
The objectives of this study are (1) To know the improvement of writing descriptive text by using own drawing media at SMP Negeri 5 Tuban, (2) To know the students? responses in learning descriptive text by using own drawing media at SMP Negeri 5 Tuban. The approach used in this research is a classroom action research. The focus of the teaching learning based on the problem occurred at seventh (A) graders of SMP Negeri 5 Tuban.
The result of this study shows that (1) the students? writing ability in descriptive text after using own drawing media improves in
each aspect. The students could develop the content of the description and organized it based on the generic structure. They also use the proper vocabularies. And also the students could show their opinion about own drawing so they can express their ideas. And the average score in the teaching process is 79.8(2) own drawing media is effective to use because it can help the students to compose descriptive text. It can attract the students and motivate them in writing and through about own drawing get enough stimulation. It makes the readers understand with the whole description.
