Literature is a work of arts, which expresses our sence, thought, feelings and attitude toward life. Literary work reflects a description of human life with its various problems, expressing of the author?s problem and give more knowledge to understand the value of life. Literature can be devided into poetry, drama, movie, shortstory and novel. The writer chooses one of them, namely movie. The writer choose the movie because she interested in literary work, especially movie. Movie is one of the most interesting and popular genres of literary work.
Through this study, the writer wants to know the intrinsic literatures and the educational values in the Front of the Class Movie.
This study analyzes a film entitled Front of the Class, written by Pater Werner. The writer used qualitative reseach to find out the valid data. To analyze the study the writer focus on the characteristic and personality Brand Cohen as the main character. Related to the title of this study, two problem were statements investigated they are: what are the intrinsic literature elements the author uses in the movie and what are the Educational Values of the Front of the Class Movie.
The methodology of this study is qualitative study. It is mean that it does not need statistic approach to explore the material. In this study the writer discussed the educational values in ?Front of the Class? movie. Qualitative research is a search of which the data written or oral word are descriptive analyzed. The primary data is taken from audiovisual (movie) and scrip from ?Front of the Class? movie. The secondary data is taken from many literary books and some relevant materials to support and complete the primary data sources.
It is hoped this study will be useful to the other researchers who want to study more about personality. This study can also give alternative references for other researchers who might be interested to conduct research related to a work of art, especially movie.
