Literature is a kind of has close relationship to human life. It reflects the life itself, thought, feelling, behaviour, and attitude of human being. One of literature?s works is film in which we can take advantages by watching it. By watching film, we can get something to learn, enrich our sense of humanity and get wises in facing our problem. These are some reasons taken by the writer to decide literature as the subject of the study. In this case film is chosen and the problem is focused on moral values on ?The Last Samurai? movie.
The objectives of the research entitled ?the analysis of moral values seen on the ?The Last Samurai? movie were: (1) to find the moral values in ?The Last Samurai? Movie (2) to find the factors that influence the moral values in ? The Last Samurai? movie.
The researcher used descriptive qualitative method in this research. The source of data of this research was the movie of The Last Samurai and subtitle. Words, phrases, sentences were analyzed to find the moral values and the factors that influence the moral values in ?The Last Samurai?.
The moral values of the film are bravery, enthusiasm, kindhearted, loyalty. The factors that influence the moral values in ?The Last Samurai? movie is culture. From analyzing moral values hopefully it can build the good character for us as a future teacher and finally we can give an inspiration to the students
