As we know that a strategy is very important in English teaching. Strategy is a way insert in the study. A teacher have to understand the class, especially in communicative class. However English in international language, so it is not easy to make all the students to understand the material included in elementary school.
The purpose of this study is to find out the dominants teacher?s strategy of classroom communication at the fifth grade of SDIT FAAZ TUBAN. The target of the research is SDIT FAAZ TUBAN, and fifth grade as the sample te research. The most strategy would make the students to be easy for the students, it would used.
This researcher implement qualitative research in the study. It means that the researcher just write all the activities in the classroom, included the students response, and the result of the strategy. The data of this study are collected by using observation checklist, field note, and interview. The observation checklist is done the researcher during the study. Field note is written by the researcher to get the data, the researcher write all activities in the class in this field note, and the teacher has one field note to each the meeting. The researcher record four meetings and indicate each statements based on Tarone Taxonomy. The interview is indicated to the English teacher at the end the study, so make the research be stronger. In the Tarone Taxonomy there are some theory would help the students in the study.
Based on Tarone Taxonomy theory there are some strategies used by the teacher at the fifth grade of SDIT FAAZ TUBAN. of using English based on Tarone Taxonomy. They are approximation 18%, circumlocution 14%, Mime 21%, appeal for help 14%, and translation 32%. It mean the dominant strategy used by English teacher is translation.
