This study is analysis of Maher Zain?s songs. The writer chooses songs to be analyzed since they consist of humanity values and teaching of life. Song is one of the instruments to express messages from the writer, which can help the listener to know the singer or songwriter exactly wants to tell. Every song has different messages. It includes moral, religion, social phenomenon, humanism and so on.
The purposes of this study is to find out humanity values in Maher Zain?s songs. The song that are used to make Skripsi are Palestine Will Be Free, Awaken, Freedom, Hold My Hand, and Love Will Prevail. From these songs, the writer tries to found humanity values and place then into good understanding to life.
The writer used qualitative research to find out the valid data. In this case, the writer uses documentation as the way to collect the data. The procedures of taking the data were as follows: selects Maher Zain songs, taken from some lyrics of Maher Zain's songs, reads some of the lyrics, analyzes the themes of the songs, selects the humanity values belonging to Maher Zain songs. And the procedures of analyzing data were as follows: Listening to the album, reading and learning all sentences from text of the songs, Identifying, analyzing and classifying the words in the lyrics of the songs, describing the humanity values, the last is making conclusion from the result of analyzing data.
To make the Skripsi clearer, the Skripsi writer explains everything which is related with the title chosen. She gets the data from Maher Zain?s songs. After investigating the data, the writer found several findings based on the analysis of the type of humanity values. There are eleven types of humanity values that found in the song lyrics of different album by Maher Zain. They are Love, Kindness, Social Intelligence, Truth, Peacefulness/non-violence, Responsibility, and Justice.
