This study is to know about the usefulness of two Stay Two Stray method at Manbail Futuh Islamic boarding students Beji Jenu Tuban. The aims of this study are to describe the process of improving the students? speaking ability by using Two Stay Two Stray method at Manbail Futuh Islamic boarding students, and to know the students? achievement that is taught by using Two Stay Two Stray method.
The design of this research is classroom action research. The subject of this study is the students of eight class of junior high school of Manbail Futuh Who abide in Manbail Futuh Islamic boarding. It was done on the 19 of May and 26 of May 2015. The methods of collecting data are observation (field note), marks of the first and second test, and questionnaire. The data analysis are describing the process of improving the students? speaking ability, evaluating the score of speaking ability of the students, calculating the result of the students? questionnaire, and recapitulating the result of the students evaluation.
The result of the study shows that the process of improving the students? speaking ability by using Two Stay Two Stray ran well. The students? mean score from the first test was 81 and from the second test was 84.6. From this result, we know that by using Two Stay Two Stray method, the students can improve the students? speaking ability. Furthermore, from the result of the questionnaire, the students have good responses toward Two Stay Two Stray learning method. They enjoy the process of teaching and learning because they are active when they study by using this technique. Besides that, they can cooperate with their friends and finally they can speak more bravely than before. In conclusion, Two Stay Two Stray learning method can motivate or support students to speak bravely.
