Teacher is the manager in his classroom during teaching and learning process. Being a teacher is not easy. The teacher must be able to manage his classroom well. He should have a skill which is called classroom management. A good classroom management is needed in order to make a good atmosphere during the lesson. In teaching and learning process the teacher is like to play an oechestra. A melody can be created if the player can play the orchestra well and fluently. As well as the teacher, if he can manage his classroom well, he will get a success result in his teaching and learning. It?s like a proverb says that classroom life is like a piano. What you get of it depends on how you play it. But actually, there are still many teachers get difficult to manage their classroom whereas it is very important for their teaching and learning process.
Acccording to the statement above, the writer decides to do the research related to teacher?s classroom management on EFL classroom in the tenth grade of MA Salafiyah Asy- Syafi?iyah Jatirogo. The subject of this descriptive qualitative research is the teacher in the tenth grade one of MA Salafiyah Asy- Syafy- Syafi?i?iyah Jatirogo. The instruments the writer uses in this research are observation and interview. She conducts the observation three times. The interview is done between the writer and the English teacher face to face.
The result of the research shows that teacher?s classroom management is done by the English teacher in MA Salafiyah Asy- Syafi?iyah Jatirogo. He can make his students participate and interact with the lesson during teaching and learning process. But, there are some weaknesses in managing the classroom. For examples some of the students are noisy when the teacher still explain the lesson, sometimes they are not enthusthiastic or bored, and some of them are passive in practicing conversation. Fortunately, by using his classroom management the teacher can solve the problems and he can create good atmosphere in his classroom.
