This research about The use of Domino game to improve students? vocabulary mastery at the eight year student of SMPN 1 Grabagan in the academic year 2014/2015. The problems of the research: Can the use of Domino game improve students? vocabulary mastery in eight grade of SMPN 1 Grabagan? How is the class situation when Domino game is implemented in the class?
According to statement of the problem above, target of which will reach in this research, that are: To identify whether Domino game can improve students? vocabulary mastery in eight grade of SMPN 1 Grabagan. To describe class situation when Domino game is implemented in the class.
The study describes the students? ability in vocabulary among the eight year students? SMPN 1 Grabagan. The writer uses CAR method analysis, it is a way by doing research of subject that resulted to describe the problems which happened in population, and then be analyzed with theories related to with the problems, later it is taken as conclusion.
Finally the writer can make conclusion as follows: The progress shows that listening Domino games is effective to improve the students? vocabulary achievement. The use of songs in the teaching-learning process have some benefit for the students. The students not only learn about how the words pronounced but also master English vocabularies. Most of the students are interested in learning English by using songs. It seems that they feel more relax instead of threatened with the theory. Their motivation in learning English increases and they expect that this kind of program will be given regularly and continually. In conducting this study, the writer got some problems when collecting the data. It was time consuming because the writer had to test one by one and check students? vocabulary one by one. It was not easy to make the transcription of the students? vocabulary.
