In this research the writer want to describe the characterization of the main character in and to finds some moral value in The Chronicles of Narnia : The Voyage of The Dawn Treader Movie.
The research design which the writer applied in this study is qualitative. The data of this study are transcript and dialogues which indicate or guide the readers to know the characterization of the main character and some moral values in The Chronicles of Narnia : The Voyage of The Dawn Treader Movie. The procedures of collecting the data are as follows: 1) Watching and understanding ?the chronicles of narnia : the voyage of the dawn treader?.2(Understanding the moral value of ?the chronicles of narnia: the voyage of the dawn treader?.3)Considering the content of the novel that present psychologycal and moral value from this movie. 4)Choosing data deal with the purpose of the study.5)Selecting the data which have relationship with the purpose of the study.
In this study, the writer finds that characterization of the main character and some moral values of the characterization of the main character in The Chronicles of Narnia:The Voyage of The Dawn Treader. There are three characterization of the main character in the movie, the first is Edmund Pevensie, Edmund is a kind and nice person, he also care with his sister and cousin. The second is Lucy Pevensie, the characteristic of Lucy is envy. And the third is Eustace Scrubb, Eustace is a odious boy. And the writer finds some moral values from the data such as : power is not everything, to be a beautiful is not number one, and greedy is a bad attitude.
The researcher also suggest analyzing other literary works for the next research by using other literary approaches.
