One of the cooperative learning techniques in teaching speaking that can help the teacher to get the students in their speaking class is Bamboo Dancing method. In Bamboo Dancing method the students will do an interesting activity. Every student will get a turn to speak with their partner, so they will be motivated to be brave in giving informations or say something. The students also will be easier to increase their speaking ability and capability in speaking.
This research is aimed to describe the implementation of Bamboo Dancing Method in teaching speaking toward students? speaking ability and describe the students? responses after the implementation of Bamboo Dancing Method in teaching speaking toward students? speaking ability.
This study is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 34 students of grade VII-A, SMP Negeri 4 Tuban. The instruments used in this study are observation and questionnaire. All the data gained from all instruments were collected qualitatively. The researcher then analyzed the data qualitatively in which researcher explained the data in detail.
From the results of the data analysis, it is concluded that Bamboo Dancing method is effective as a teaching technique. Using Bamboo Dancing method can attract students? attention, interesting and make the class more alive, and to make the teaching learning more effective and efficient. All of the students were interested in the activity of Bamboo Dancing method. The students also enjoyed express asking and giving facts. When the teacher asked the student perform in front of class, they enjoyed it very much and felt enthusiastic.
