Stucture game is the game that connected with structure (Ayu Rini, 2010:121) in which small teams, with students of different levels of ability use a variety of learning activities to increase the students ability in constructing simple sentences using structure game. Each member of a team is responsible not only for learning what is taught but also for helping teammqtes for learning, thus creating an atmosphere of achievment, students work through the assignment untill all groups member succesfully understand and completed. In language teaching a teacher must have the general professional preperation of being teacher and special knowledge in the field of the foreign language which he teaches. Knowing that constructing simple sentences is important in determining the success of process of learning teaching, the teacher should choose the most appropriate tecnique in teaching constructing simple sentences by using structure game and apply them effectively.
Writing skill is one of the skill that must be mastered by the seventh year class based on the standard competence and basic competence in curriculum of junior high school. There are many kinds of genre that are taught and learnt by the students, some English teachers in MTs SA Daruth Thalibin Bangilan still use traditional or conventional method to teach writing. Usually makes students bored the learners get bored.One of the ways to make the teaching writing efective is making the students active so the structure game is appropriate to increase in teaching writing.
The objectives of the study in this reseach are to know the use of structure game to increase the students? ability in constructing simple sentences using structure game.
The reserch design in this study is descriptive qualitative. The subject of the study is the seventh year of MTs SA Daruth Thalibin Bangilan, there are 32 students consist of 13 males and 19 females. The data were collected by using observation, test and questioner. The data cheklist of observation includes the teacher roles in lerning activities, the writing test includes aspect of constructing simple sentences, the steps to analyze the data are: the data obtained from classroom observation then analyze according to fact and interpretationof the researcher, and questionnaire is present by using a simple percentage.
