Abstract?In recent days, information technology has been significantly applied in many areas, including in the field of education. For many educational institutions, information technology is necessary to organize their academic activities in a fast, effective, efficient, and accurate way in order to improve the quality of education. In the study program of Information System in UNIKOM, as a case study, technology-based information system has played a vital role to improve academic activities, such as the process ofscheduling and financial management for some events, particularly student graduation and final examination. Some problems in delayed scheduling process or clashed timetable and also manual salary calculation can be reduced. The present study was conductedby performing literature study, data collection, and software design, testing, and presentation. The software, called SISPMK or Scheduling and Financial Management Information System, can help university staff to manage timetable of events, such as seminars and final examination, to minimize timetable clashes between lecturers androoms, and to simplify salary calculation and financial report of the events.
