This ?skripsi? is about the use of tourism object video in teaching descriptive text to improve students' writing ability of tenth grade at SMK Negeri 2 Tuban ( the state senior vocational high school). The problem of the study are (1) How is tourism object video in teaching descriptive text used to improve students' writing ability of tenth grade at SMK Negeri 2 Tuban? (2) What are the difficulties of the use of tourism object video at the in teaching descriptive text use to improve students' writing ability of tenth grade at SMK Negeri 2 Tuban?
To answer the problems of the study, the writer uses classroom action research as a research design. The study only focuses to the X.AK-3 class that includes of 36 students to maximize the result of the study. It also only focuses on the implementation of using object video in teaching descriptive text. The data collection techniques use for collecting data were observation, interview, and test. This classroom action research was conducted for research spent about 2x40 minutes. There were four part of research, those are: planning, acting, observation, and reflecting. At last the writer made interview, with the English teacher about the difficulties in writing the use of tourism object video.
From the data analysis of the research it can be found that the use of tourism object video can improve the students? writing ability in teaching descriptive text. If compared from the mean of average before the use of tourism object video is only 68, 49. It can be seen from the mean of the average after the use of tourism object video is 77, 36. It means that the use of tourism object video as an alternative media to teach writing descriptive text is good.
Finally, the writer gives suggestion as follows, teacher should try to give various method, motiving, interesting way of teaching and sung technology in teaching learning process towards the improvement of students? interest in learning writing of tenth grade at SMK Negeri 2 Tuban.
