Model Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Gaya Kognitif Reflektif vs Impulsif
The purpose of this research was to develop learning model of mathematics based of cognitive style, reflective vs impulsive, to improve the ability of problem solving, which was qualified (valid, practical and effective). To reach that target, development research would be done with development method from Plomp (1997) which consisted of five stage, those were: (1) initial reviewing, (2) design, (3) realization or construction, (4) test, evaluation and revision, and (5) implementation. To assess the quality of that learning model of mathematics based of cognitive style, reflective vs impulsive, criteria of Nieveen (1999) was used, that was model fulfilled validity, practicability, and effectivity. And for the need of quality test, try out was done at SMP Negeri 5 Tuban. Based of the research result through try out to fulfill the model which was valid, practical and effective, learning model of mathematics based of cognitive style which consisted of 6 phase was obtained. The term of phase can be defined as the stage of learning activity. The phase of this model are: (1) introduction, (2) presentation of mathematics concept through realistic problem, (3) oganizing student in the group based of cognitive style, reflective vs impulsif, (4) discussion of problem solving and presentation, (5) practice of problem solving (evaluation), (6) closing.
